In fact, to build lean muscle and get strong, bodyweight training is more important than isolated heavy weight training.

  2. DON'T MIX EXERCISES!! Most likely, your trainer asks you to follow a fixed list of exercises for 6 days a week. But try running outside, biking to new destinations, or doing a high-intensity cardio sport. Not only will you increase the intensity of your workout, but you’ll also simulate survival situations, which will push you to work harder than you would in a gym.

  4. Look outside the gym : An instructor who tells you this probably doesn't want to work there for much longer. But with all the new fitness trends like power yoga, body combat, zumba, etc., do you really need the gym? If you enjoy it, keep going, but if you get bored or tired of the same routine, it's time to leave.

  5. Don’t spend hours at the gym : It’s best to go in, complete a routine of a few heavy weights, do a few functional movements, and leave. Instead of spending hours doing isolation exercises, if you can complete your workout in 45 minutes by working your core and total body, you can have a complete workout that will leave you feeling refreshed instead of broke.
